The weekly Kiddush and Kiddush Club "The Kiddush" The Kiddush has become a vital part of The Chabad House of Ocala and The Villages as it does much to create friendships, community and the warm Shul atmosphere in which we take great pride. The Kiddush is a lunch which takes place each Shabbat (Saturday Afternoon) at 12:45 after the conclusion of services. The Kiddush consists of traditional Jewish delicacies for Shabbat such as fresh homemade Challah, gefilta fish, cholent, kugel, salads, babaganoush and more. Complete with L'chaim and a wonderful community spirit. Our Kiddush is sponsored by generous donors from our community each week. You may choose to sponsor a Kiddush and dedicate it in honor or in memory of a loved one or for a special event of your choice (Birthday, Yahrzeit, Anniversary, Graduation). Your sponsorship will be announced during the services together with a special blessing. The Cost to sponsor a Kiddush is $200. It is $360 to reserve an exclusive sponsorship (with no other shared sponsors). A "Bar Mitzvah" Sponsorship is $540 - You can choose your own decor, give a speech at the podium and relive your actual Bar Mitzvah. Additionally there is a "Kiddush Club"- Members of our community who are willing to dedicate a certain amount of money to help cover the cost whenever there is no other Kiddush sponsor.
